Official Rules, Terms and Conditions
A professional participation agreement covering fight regulations, selection, robot custody and return, logistics, Training Phase safety, insurance (to be confirmed), media, and liability. Applicants must read it; Selected Teams sign it when the organizers require.

Eligibility
- Registration is open to UAE nationals and legal residents. Five teams are selected to receive a robot and compete.
- Recommended team size: 3–12 active members.
- When a Selected Team signs, the team lead binds every member. That does not bind a university or company unless it has authorised the application in writing.
Hardware & software
- Selected teams receive a Unitree G1, SDK access, usage guidelines, and repair training.
- Teams train with reinforcement learning and the Unitree SDK. Hands may be modified. Weapons, projectiles, and strike-mass changes are prohibited. Competition software must run on its own during live rounds; teleoperation is not allowed.
- The robot is a loan. Title does not pass to the team.
Safety
- Training-phase safety is the team’s responsibility: suitable space, an e-stop operator, and exclusion of bystanders.
- At official events: mandatory inspection, approved emergency stop, handlers outside the live zone. No live operation of the robot during a round except an approved e-stop.
- Organizer safety rulings are final.
Bout format
- Robots must fight fully autonomously. Real-time remote control and human intervention during live rounds are prohibited, except an approved emergency stop.
- Not conventional boxing. Timed rounds with rest intervals; exact timing is published in the bout schedule.
- Judges score opponent identification, recovery from falls, precision, ring craft, reliability, and presentation.
- A referee may pause or stop a bout at any time.
Logistics & robot return
- Teams handle all travel, visas, lodging, labs, tooling, and costs unless a separate writing says otherwise.
- The robot must be returned after the challenge, or immediately on withdrawal or disqualification.
- Loss, theft, or unauthorised damage is the team’s cost.
Conduct & decisions
- Respect officials and opponents. Cheating, sabotage, or unsafe intentional acts mean expulsion and robot recall.
- Results may be by points, technical knockout, or referee stoppage. Written protests are accepted but are not heard on event day; they are reviewed afterwards.
- The PDF also covers insurance (to be confirmed), media rights (team name and logos, not university branding), indemnity, and UAE governing law.
